The CDC Foundation seeks a Senior Project Coordinator to support Perinatal Quality Collaboratives’ (PQCs) efforts to improve respectful care among pregnant and postpartum persons and their newborns. PQCs are multidisciplinary teams implementing quality improvement initiatives in maternal/infant healthcare facilities across a state to improve pregnancy outcomes. Funding is available to augment PQCs’ work on respectful care and promote birth and maternal health equity. PQCs may also leverage the Hear Her maternal health campaign which seeks to prevent pregnancy-related deaths by increasing awareness of urgent maternal warning signs amongst pregnant and postpartum people and by improving communication between patients and their healthcare providers. This position may also provide evaluation support and technical assistance to PQCs.

This position duties includes the following:

·Development, implementation, and monitoring of subgrants to PQCs that seek to begin or expand their respectful care initiatives.

·In partnership with CDC’s Perinatal and Infant Health Team, assist in soliciting and evaluating proposals from PQCs.

·Provide technical assistance to PQC grantees to integrate birth equity and respectful care into ongoing or new quality improvement initiatives.

·In partnership with CDC’s Perinatal and Infant Health team, support activities of PQCs and the National Network of PQCs to incorporate respectful care into nationwide efforts to improve maternal and neonatal care and outcomes.

·Identify and facilitate opportunities to promote and disseminate Hear Her campaign resources as a component to improve respectful care and ensure hospitals provide patient education before discharge.

·Strengthen PQCs’ evaluation capacity and may conduct evaluation activities to help assess PQC efforts.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work with the nation’s lead agency charged with protecting the public's health. A successful candidate will be hired by the CDC Foundation and will be organizationally located with the Perinatal and Infant Health Team in CDC’s Maternal and Infant Health Branch, Division of Reproductive Health (DRH), National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP).

Atlanta-based candidates are preferred. Remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates, though some travel for in-person may be required. Relocation expenses are not provided. The salary for this position ranges from $80,000-$90,000 and will be based on experience and qualifications. The CDC Foundation offers an attractive benefits package. This is a full-time position with grant funding anticipated through at least September 29, 2025, with the possibility of extension.
